A Rusty Key: social justice response →
yookey:
There’s enough posting going on, thanks to WIOTM and HWDYKYM, that maybe I don’t need to make a long quote before addressing issues appearing openly on their pages. While the owners of those two sites hold strong opinions, they do allow opposition opinions to appear on their pages. That is either…
To the guy who thinks the Church is at it's best...
You’ve got be kidding me. I wish I had more time to write this but I have a family party. Nonetheless, more than ever there is division in the UC that is being PUSHED by Hyung Jin, In Jin, and Kook Jin. There are tours constantly bashing Hyun Jin and people are actually being told to NOT purchase things from the companies under Hyun Jin. Not only that, but members who work under Hyun Jin are...
"RE Culture Of Fear".
In point of fact, _because_ of the leadership changes Father instituted - specifically appointing Hyung Jin Nim, Kook Jin Nim and In Jin Nim into key positions - whatever “fear culture” may have existed in the last 30 years in our Church and business institutions has been blown away. There is more frank open discussion about every aspect of the movement than there has _ever_...
Disappointed by Church Politics
I joined this movement a few years ago inspired by the message of changing the world for the better, of bringing conflicts in religion to an end, and doing something to help better our communities. Yet, now I find myself sorely disillusioned and disappointed. Did I really give up the most valuable resource in the world-my time for this mess that the movement now finds itself in? For people to...
Re: Show me the money
Read again. It says he did not take salary from this foundation. He donated 300,000 to related organization (HSA) and took 360,000 salary from related organizations (HSA? Family Fed? God only knows.) Nice salary in 2009.

Liked your testimony now here's mine....
I appreciate Mark’s testimony because I also joined the church in Oakland and have some residual nostalgia but I took a very different course than Mark, through the labrinyth of church deception. I have to say that after leaving the church, part of my rage is reserved for the church leadership including the more inspired variety represented in the old Oakland church. I found out a couple of...
Show me the money
I can’t believe I’m doing this…but i think whoever submitted this made a mistake re Kookie Nim on this one. Looks to me like the charitable fund (Young Jin Foundation) lost $430k from investments going down in value (2008 was a crappy year for the stock market) and had $385k in expenses of which $300k was a payment to HSA. Says in the documents that the fund can send money to HSA, UTS...

My Story - Because You Asked….
Life in the Oakland Family was crazy, paradoxical. On the one hand, there was the extensive use of guilt and related forms of coercion; the lack of sleep, the personal poverty, not to mention the intense, exhaustingly constant focus on the spiritual aspect of everything. But on the other hand, there was an amazing, unique cast of characters who became brothers and sisters in one way and superstars...

Backbiting and Rumor Mongering
Richard Barlow January 1999 http://www.tparents.org/Library/Unification/Talks/Barlow/Barlow-YeJin.htm The same dynamic existed between Ye Jin and Hyo Jin as between Un Jin and Hyun Jin. They both felt marginalised in favor of their immediate male siblings. One major difference between Ye Jin’s and Un Jin’s situation is that Jin Whi Hong, Ye Jin’s husband, came to agree...

Leadership Needs Overhaul
Back in 2006, with the opening of the Palace, Father was speaking words of victory, speaking about the Era After the Coming of Heaven; talking about living in the absolute noon with no shadows; living under the direct dominion of God. I wonder… why we don’t hear those words these days? Why do we seem to go backwards instead, going back to “Cain must unite with Abel” or...

Kook Jin received 360,000 in compensation and donated 300,000 to HSA UWC. Wasn’t this suppose to be for UTS scholarships? This is a publically available 990 filing for the year 2009.

Here is the financial report: http://www.faqs.org/tax-exempt/NY/Young-Jin-Moon-Charitable-Foundation.html# According to this, they have over eight million in assests, spent none of it and lost 15,000 to from other corporations and investments. There stated purpose is to provide scholarships. Kook Jin, you preached transparency. So what gives on this? I have kids who need scholarships...
Culture of fear.
The Unification culture currently being created is one of fear, name calling and accusation. Gone are the days when someone can defame “me” and I can digest it, serve them and win them over through true love. Now are the days when I can accuse you, and if you “defame me”, I can threaten you with my high financed lawyer teams so I can take all you have away (except for...
Contradicting the Principle in such an obvious way
Someone posted to whatisonthemoon:
I am all for following Abel, but Abel was killed when he didn’t support Cain. So Hyung Jin Nim, please listen to your older brother Hyun Jin Nim (Preston). The Movement desperately needs unity. Abel bragged about his offering but never did he allow a smear campaign against Cain. Maybe you will not be killed by Cain but you will surely bring death to the...
So much about Principle-view
Recently Mr. Cotter shared with us a deep understanding of the present situation in light of DP, inspiring thousands of members (he wished)…
I’d like to hear from Mr. Cotter on the role and responsibility of the Abel of this new theology. Was that addressed? Well, I’m no DP scholar, but I can tell that “Abel” is not doing a good job in the unity business. Maybe...

I DON'T CARE
I DON’T CARE IF YOU WENT TO HARVARD. I DON’T CARE ABOUT YOUR CRAZY FUN GUN INVENTIONS. I DON’T CARE IF YOU HOMESCHOOLED GENIUSES. I DON’T CARE IF YOU MAKE THE BEST CHEESECAKE. I DON’T CARE IF YOU WENT TO LAW SCHOOL. I DON’T CARE IF YOUR HUSBAND IS ANNOYING AND UGLY BUT YOU STILL LOVE HIM. I DON’T CARE IF YOU THINK YOU ARE OUTSTANDING AND TRULY A MODEL FOR...
Partisan?
I have seen my younger brother go under persecution for his support of Hyun Jin nim. I have seen my parents disillusioned by Kook Jin nim. I have seen division brought forth in the Church by the Church-side of the Movement. I have seen fear among the GPF-folks. I have heard of excommunications and dis fellowship occurring quite frequently. I have read the Headquarters reports and mandates. And I...

Kook Jin's Character
Familyfed has posted a video of Kook Jin in Washington DC. I encourage everyone to go watch and see the character of this man. He blames Hyun Jin for everything, and at the same time, acts like he is the victim of his brother’s defamation online. I don’t know about you, but UCI and Hyun Jin have nothing to do with what I post anywhere online. We’ve tried our best to...
A new angle on Jesus' mission
I am enjoying this discussion “about a new angle on Jesus mission”. My reference to Jesus’ comment about those who take no offense in him being blessed was not meant to suggest that John the Baptist had failed his mission. I find no support for that notion in the Bible. Many UC leaders suggest that had John the Baptist supported Jesus more, the Jews would have accepted...
Jesus mission
I enjoyed reading “King of Kings” and learned a lot from it. Thanks for continuing on with the discussion about a new angle on Jesus mission. The separation of Jews and Christians was not God’s plan. Neither was the division among Christians God’s plan. Jesus came as God’s sacrificial lamb to take away the sins of the World on that special passover day. The reason...

Re: Mongolia
Utterly despicable that they would take members who have suffered under communism and demand they follow top down leadership once again. And the UC leadership showed absolutely no concern at all for the Mongolian members’ heart by trashing the leaders whom they have loved, and created a theatre of the absurb even further by placing Mr. Pak in the position that directly challenged the...
King of Kings.
A recent poster noted that: “Rome was very powerful at that time and would have massacred the Jews if their so called Messiah (King) or chief priest refused to bow and swear allegiance to Rome.” This is absolutely right and is a fact that Herod and the Chief Priests were well aware of. Their power was based on their willing collaboration with the occupying Roman authorities and...

Letter
Dear Brothers and Sisters, May the love and blessing of our Heavenly Parent and our True Parents be with you all during this Christmas season. Our True Parents have returned to America after the victorious three World Assembly events in New York, Las Vegas and Seoul. They are planning to celebrate Christmas in Las Vegas and have invited their children to spend that time together with them. ...
Re: responsibility
Yeah, we are _still_ responsible for how we have lived our own lives, no matter whether we have been hurt, inconvenienced or otherwise by the decisions of our Fathers. Whether physical or spiritual Parents, at some point you have to get over being a teenager and have to stop blaming your parents for your problems. It’s called growing up. ;)
Jesus mission
I am for the idea that man is in the state of “death” whether he is physically alive or not as long as he is in the state of separation from God’s love, the source of life. Not fearing death will not necessarily motivates a person to be a good and live according to God’s will. It is natural to fear death if death means eternal separation from God’s love and also...

Regarding Lame 2nd gen
Post said: “We are all responsible for how we lived our own lives, we can’t blame Father or anyone else for the choices we’ve made.” How bout the choices he made? You decide which are ridiculous and selfish — that hurt his so-called children (members). After all, members call him “father.”
Re: Lame 2nd gen
It seems to me that whoever doesn’t see the lashing out of our 2nd gens on this site and other sites as a natural consequence of a deep lack of love and understanding on the part of their parents and the UM in general, has no right to give any advice. In fact, those people should take a good look at themselves.
As painful as it is to see our own children throw dirt on something that we...

Affairs.
People debate Moon’s affairs but we have Sam Park as evidence of Moons affairs. We also had Myung Hee Kim’s son, Hee Jin Nim, who died in a train accident. Father acknowledges him. Why must we debate over such an issue? This is the truth. Even Peter Kim address it 20 years ago in Belvedere. It is what it is.

Look “iknowmoon”, pointing out that you behave like a common spammer is MY post anonymously submitted to this blog. Since you have a steep learning curve, I’ll spell it out. Re: Helicopter "Drive!"
Yes, the crash absolutely applies equally to all of us, no, it does not indict the faith of Chung Hwan Kwak and Preston alone. I never said it was only their responsibility. But their reaction to the changes Father instituted afterwords did make what the current “State Of The Faith” was perfectly and painfully clear. Two men in extremely critical central positions of...

More On The Mission of Jesus
A recent post had this to say regarding Jesus’ mission: “I didn’t connect Jesus death and resurrection to man’s ability to die or not die. For me, Jesus mission was more for the solution of sins and for restoring man’s relationship with God.” According to traditional Patristic interpretation, it was a solution to sin. The word translated as sin in English had the meaning...
Another bastardization of the DP
At the time of Jesus, the disciples failed to unite with Jesus, and therefore he had a Gethsemane. They failed, and the Lord paid indemnity for it. Now, as In Jin’s followers would have it, the Lord has a Gethsemane, and then the disciples failed. Pre-indemnity I guess it is called. The Lord preindemnified the future failure of Kwak in the helicopter accident. What else can we...
